Want shoes like Savion’s? Pete and Taso Ktenas at Pete’s Theatrical Shoe Repair Shop in New York City can do the same build-up on your shoes that they did for Savion’s. They usually start with Capezio K360′s, though the build-up can be done on some other tap shoes as well…
They add 3/8″ extra on the sole, some more heel height, and replace the standard fiber boards under the taps with metal plates. The result are taps that cannot be adjusted, but that don’t come off.
Cost is $80 with rubber for traction, or $70 without rubber. Call them before sending them any shoes. You can contact them here:
