Fierce and Hammer sound more like music idols than tap shoes, but that may just be the angle Capezio and Bloch are working with these new tap models. Capezio’s Fierce replaces their previous high-top tap sneaker with a flashier looking low-cut model. This one’s got the same Teletone Rayow (single screw) taps built-in and a split-sole. It’s still very lightweight, so I don’t know how you could get much sound out of it without really stomping. (pictures below)

The Hammer, an entirely new shoe from Bloch, has an interesting dress shoe design with custom taps that curl over the toe which should make for some interesting effects. For more information on these shoes, check out the Capezio and Bloch web sites:

  1. I own the Bloch Hammer shoes, and I absolutely ADORE them!!!!! They are my favorite shoes yet, and I won’t dance in anyhting else!! If you are getting new shoes, give them a try!! It is definitely worth it!!!
