Chicago Tap Theatre is pleased to announce Your Liaison with Dance, on Friday April 21 from 7 to 10 P.M. at Eugenie Terrace, 1730 N. Clark, 44th floor penthouse club room in Chicago, Illinois. For Francophiles and dance lovers alike, here is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet the dancers of Tapage and Chicago Tap Theatre in a posh setting overlooking Lake Michigan and Chicago skyline. Join them for an evening of Champagne, French pastries and a chance to bid on some very cool goods and services during their silent auction.

Items for the auction will include Spa packages, restaurant certificates, and original art. Patrons will also have the opportunity to view and purchase original prints of Chicago Tap Theatre by noted dance photographer Kristie Kahns. All of this is in support of the partnership between Tapage and Chicago Tap Theatre, a deep and creatively fulfilling liaison that set Chicago on fire two years ago.
Liaison Deux marks the return of the critically-acclaimed partnership between Chicago Tap Theatre and Tapage, a conceptual tap dance company from Toulouse, France. This exciting collaboration continues a cultural exchange begun two years ago, when the pair sold out the Harold Washington Library Auditorium and garnered enthusiastic reviews. This Benefit will give people the opportunity to have real one-on-one time with this group of critically lauded dancers. Almost all of the French dancers speak English, so communication will be easy. Tapage truly defies simple categorization. Lucia Mauro, dance critic for the Tribune, came closest when she wrote, ‘try to envision the well-crafted fusion that would result if Martha Graham and Marcel Marceau created a tap company.’ Last year they continued their collaboration with Tapage through a three-city tour of the South of France.Your Liaison with Dance is a one-night-only event featuring complimentary Champagne, French Pastries, a Silent Auction, Raffle, Photo Exhibition and Show Preview at the Eugenie Terrace penthouse club (1730 N. Clark, 44th floor). Patrons will be able to mix and mingle with the critically acclaimed Tapage, considered the finest French tap company and Chicago Tap Theatre, one of the most innovative tap companies in America. There is ample parking in a lot immediately across the street. Admission is $60 per patron with reduced prices for Dancers and Students. The show, Liaison Deux, runs Saturday and Sunday, April 22 at 8 P.M. and April 23 at 2 P.M. at the Harold Washington Library Auditorium. Tickets can either be purchased at the door or through www.chicagotaptheatre.com or by calling 773-655-1175. Tickets are $25 for Adults, $20 for Seniors and $15 for Students or Dancers.
