I live in the midwest and I used to always order my k360s from david schaeffer at capezio and i had the "savion build up" work done by pete ktenas at his shop, pete's theatrical. Now that he is dead, I am at a loss for where to go to get a GOOD QUALITY shoe build up. I swear that new guy at capezio knows nothing and the work done by the "new jersey factory" is shoddy, horrible work. NO craftsmanship. After paying $280 for new shoes w/the build up, I would expect them to be good enough to tap with, but no. The screw heads poke out and will gouge up a wooden floor so now I have to go to a local cobbler and try to get them put in properly. That is just plain wrong. I am desperate to find a "new Pete" to do quality work on my shoes. Can anyone help??? Also, any idea what has become of David S? Is capezio suffering so much financially that they have to skimp on quality to make ends meet?! I am so dissatisfied it's ridiculous. that new guy even flat out lied to me about the teletone one size taps... long story... but adds substantially to my feelings of frustration, distrust, and anger towards capezio. thanks in advance to anyone who can help. my direct email is tapsalot@mindspring.com.
