I could mount and use the drive, Pico-8 did not see the controller — this may be a Pico-8 issue, I haven’t tried to use the controller through a hub before. I would definitely add a backup battery to the chip. Submit a new text post.
Here’s the thread for that! I could see both the drive and the controller in lsusb. This also showed charging and stayed at around 4. Is it able to recharge the backup battery? I put an inline ammeter between the hub and the PC’s power input.
The PS seemed to suck. Also the power supply’s on cheap hubs are not always the best to start with, so a battery would smooth things out. Whatever else you have plugged into the hub may or may not draw a steady amount of power and you could have momentary drops of power going from the hub to the chip.

This did not see controller in lsusb. I’ll have to do my research to check the voltage on the hub before I buy one. Same low voltage issue must be the PS. Low voltage at the PC, no charging current. Because of the low voltage, I didn’t go further. Same PS I used with the Belkin. The PC charge and flash drive lit up, the controller didn’t.
This hub is cute in that it lights up for in use ports. I tried four different hubs, with eblkin different power supplies. Log in or sign up in seconds.
