Why:
Would you like to do more with tapdance then only take lessons or practice at home? Would you like to improvise to nice a song you know? And to meet other enthusiastic tapdancers? Well, maybe this TapJam is something for you!
What:
The TapJam sessions are meant to tapdance and jam with each other. The session is not a ‘performance’ and it’s not a class. There are no lessons been given, and there is no teacher. However, everybody is more then willing to share thoughts and ideas how to improvise. So in a way, everybody is a teacher. Everyone can bring in their favorite music and suggest new ideas.
The TapJam is a non-commercial activity. The costs to book a studio are shared with the participants of that evening. The cost are very low, mostly a couple of euros per person for two hours of tap improvisation fun. After the TapJam we often take a drink at a bar or the Crea-café.
When:
One or two times a month, on Friday evening. The data that TapJams are held can be found in the agenda on this website.
Where:
In the Centre of Amsterdam a studio has been booked at the foundation Crea. For each TapJam, you can decide it’s convenient to join in. There is no obligation to participate every jam. Also there is no tap-level requirement, except if you have never tapdanced before; that’s not going to work.
How:
I would like to ask you to register by sending me an e-mail. Please, introduce yourself and you will receive all the details about the tapjam.
